Edibles Review: Beyond Mars Dark Chocolate

As a professional budtender at a great medical marijuana dispensary, it’s getting hard for me to keep up with all the great new products available to patients. I like to try everything at least once to be able to tell patients about it, so I try my best to at least get a small sample of all the new edibles, concentrates, and flower strains that come past my gaze.

One of my favorite Colorado medical marijuana companies is Beyond Mars, who make tons of different things, including a line of high quality full melt concentrates and butane hash oil under the name Huxley’s.

I’ve tried several of their edibles in the past, but had never tackled their 200 mg chocolate bars. Available in dark chocolate, mint chocolate, and orange zest flavor, these bars pack a serious punch and should be a big hit with any patients who like edibles but don’t like a “hashy” taste.

Upon trying the mint variety, I was immediately impressed but how great this chocolate tastes. While most well made edibles these days do usually taste pretty good, these had almost noweed taste to them at all. Beyond Mars Dark Chocolate is also broken into small squares that make it very easy to measure doses out, which is great since too much of an edible this strong makes it easy to overdo it.

(I’ll say again here what I say to every new patient who wants edibles: “You can always add to a high, you can never subtract.”)

Beyond Mars is available in many Colorado medical marijuana dispensaries. I recommend their Rice Krispy cookies and brownies as well, but one of the absolute strongest and tastiest products they make is the 200 mg Chocolate Bar.
