Women for Measure 80 Supports Moms for Marijuana with Rally in Salem; Source: https://www.facebook.com/events/529096663773815/Women for Measure 80 will join Moms for Marijuana on Monday, October 15, 2012 to support their joint venture with Overgrow the Government for the first Cannabis Quilt Regional Conference.

Moms for Marijuana, a grassroots network of parents and other citizens across the world who are concerned with the ignorant war being fought against the cannabis plant, is sending a Cannabis Quilt across the United States in a show of solidarity and unity, demanding the legalization of marijuana.

“It’s time for a rational, real debate around marijuana policy for the safety of our communities, for the well-being of our children,” declares Amanda Rain, Outreach Advocacy Coordinator for Measure 80.

Women for Measure 80 will rally in Salem, Oregon from 1:00pm until 3:00pm calling for an end to seventy-five years of failed marijuana prohibition. Mothers, women, seniors and men will come together on the steps of the Capitol in support of Measure 80, which will regulate cannabis for adult use, license cannabis for commercial sale, and re-allow Oregon farmers to grow hemp for biofuel, food, sustainable fiber and medicine.

Speakers for the event include Shelley Fox-Loken from Law Enforcement Against Prohibition (LEAP) and Madeline Martinez, National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML) Board Member and owner of the World Famous Cannabis Café.
